Feast of St Francis Xavier in refugee setting

The SMF community in Myanmar, located in an active conflict zone, came together to celebrate the feast of their patron saint, St Francis Xavier, with hope and solidarity. Despite the challenges surrounding them, the community marked the occasion by sharing essential knowledge on mental health, recognising the growing need for emotional resilience and psychological support during times of crisis.

In addition to educational activities, the community also organised the urgent distribution of aid to displaced refugees, many of whom have been affected by ongoing instability. This compassionate outreach reflects the spirit of St Francis Xavier and the community’s commitment to supporting the most vulnerable, offering both practical help and a message of unity in the midst of hardship.
