The Patronal Feast of the School of the Missionary Sisters of the Faith in Samoa “Missionary Infant School”
It was with great joy that the community of the Missionary Sisters of Faith in Samoa celebrated today the Patronal Feast of the ‘Missionary Infant School’, a moment of grace shared with the pupils, families, teachers and local authorities.
The event took on a very special significance thanks to the presence of the Bishop, who was welcomed with honour and gratitude as a concrete sign of ecclesial communion and pastoral closeness to our educational mission.
The celebration also included a gesture of profound spiritual significance: the inauguration of a grotto dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Faithful, entrusted to her protection as a place of contemplation, silence and prayer for all who pass through our school. A visible sign that speaks of our vocation: to educate not only the mind, but the heart and the spirit.
Sister Palepa Aloniu, smf, Headmistress of the School, extended a warm greeting to all present, recalling that a school inspired by Christian values is called to form people capable of hope, fraternity and service. Her words expressed with simplicity and depth the meaning of this celebration: no one grows up alone, and the Faithful Virgin Mary discreetly accompanies each person’s journey.
We entrust the present and future of our school to her protection, so that it may continue to be a genuine place of cultural, human and spiritual growth.
