On August 6, 2026, the Church celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This day also marked the First Thursday of the month, a special day when the Missionary Sisters of Faith offer Eucharistic Adoration, praying especially for vocations and for the sanctification of all priests and religious.

The intermediate pupils and high school students of Saint Peter’s Academy Polangui, Albay, Philippines, took turns by class in 45-minute periods of Eucharistic Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament with their adviser/teacher. During this sacred time of adoration, they prayed for young people, that they may generously respond to God’s call to a religious or priestly vocation. They also prayed for priests and religious, asking the Lord to strengthen them in their mission, deepen their fidelity to their vocation, and fill them with His grace. Through this encounter with Jesus, the students were encouraged to grow in faith and to recognize God’s loving presence in their daily lives. Through this sacred time of prayer, we are reminded that God is always with us, guiding us with His love and never abandoning presence within us. 

Moreover, this activity is one of the ways the Missionary Sisters of Faith live out and share their charism of Mission and Faith within the school community. Through Eucharistic Adoration, they nurture the spiritual lives of both the students and the teachers, helping them deepen their relationship with Christ and encouraging them to become faithful disciples who witness His love through their words and actions.
