A Gifted Life
Being human in society is demanded to do something. As for this, every person is busy for doing things in life whether for themselves or for others. Nowadays, showing out one’s ability is becoming a high reference. Because, more people think about “doing” rather than “being”. As for this, people are unceasingly seeking for gaining more skills or talents in order to stand out in society. In fact, everyone is gifted to give.
When we are struggling to be recognized, we frequently have failed to identify that we are already gifted by the grace of God. Besides, we are exhausted of making up our lives by many offered opportunities to response the demands of society. Really, the feast of Petencost helps us to look back our authentic life which is a gifted life. Because, God gives us His Holy Spirit to be capable in our being and doing. As human, its true to strive for the talents but its also important to recall the gift of God to us. “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone” (1 Cor 12:4-6).
Without God’s graces, our attempts are in vain. God’s grace is gratuitous. It is for everyone but it works in those who appreciate it and use it for the good. As for this, let’s pause and reflect on what is the gift that I have? Do I realize the graces of God in my life? Do I find out the gift in my life and share it to others?
“To each is given the manifestation of the Holy Spirit for the common good” (1 Cor 12:7)
