Thanksgiving Mass for the Visit of the Mother General, Mother Cristina, and the Welcome of Sr. Consolata Perez in the St. Francis Xavier Community – Liliw, Laguna

On Sunday, March 1, a solemn Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated in the chapel of the formation house on the occasion of the visit of our Mother General, Mother Cristina, to our missionary reality in the Philippines, and to welcome Sr. Consolata Perez to the St. Francis Xavier Community in Liliw, Laguna. During this celebration, we also offered our prayers for the Universal Church, for the mission in the Philippines, and for all those who serve the Kingdom of God.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Benje, a Missionary of the Faith priest, and was lived in a spirit of deep recollection and gratitude. The liturgy was joyfully animated by the newly professed sisters and the novices, who participated actively through the singing, the proclamation of the Word, and the prayers of the faithful.

The visit of the Mother General, culminating in the celebration of the Eucharist, allowed us to experience something similar to that of the disciples on the mountain: her presence among us felt like going up the mountain, a special moment of grace, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. Through this fraternal encounter, the Lord reminded us once again of the beauty and depth of our missionary vocation.

We gave thanks to God for His continuous blessings, for His protection, and for His faithfulness that accompanies our missionary journey. This celebration strengthened our sense of communion, helping us to feel ever more united as one family in Christ.

With grateful hearts, we express our sincere thanks to our Mother General, Mother Cristina, for her fatherly presence, her guidance, and her attentive care for the mission in the Philippines. We also warmly welcome Sr. Consolata Perez to our community and thank her for her constant and generous “yes” to the will of God, lived with missionary spirit and dedication to the service of the Gospel.

We entrust the journey of our community and our mission to the Lord, that, sustained by His grace, we may continue to bring faith and hope to all those we encounter.
