Pastoral visitation of the Superior General in Vietnam

From February 7 to 13, 2026, the Missionary Sisters of Faith community in Vietnam joyfully welcomed the pastoral visitation of Suore Christine, Superior General. This visit held special significance as the community is actively preparing for the upcoming groundbreaking for construction — an important step that lays a solid foundation for the long-term development of the mission in Vietnam. Suore’s presence and accompaniment at this meaningful moment brought great encouragement, strengthening the community’s hope and trust in God’s loving providence.

The visitation also took place in a spirit of communion, gratitude, and joyful celebration as everyone prepared to welcome the Traditional Lunar New Year — Tết 2026.

During her time in Vietnam, Suore Christine and the sisters had meaningful meetings and extended respectful greetings to:

— The Bishop of Phú Cường Diocese, in gratitude for his pastoral care, guidance, and support for the presence and growth of the Missionary Sisters of Faith.

— Fr. Dominic Minh, Parish Priest of Lai Thiêu Parish, on the occasion of the signing related to the land, and for his warm welcome shared in the joyful spirit of preparing for Tết.

— Fr. Gioakim Thành, Vicar General of Phú Cường Diocese, offering respectful Tết greetings and sincere appreciation for his constant accompaniment and encouragement.

— The MF priests, whose generous and faithful support — spiritual, material, and pastoral — continues to strengthen the new mission, especially in the preparation for construction.

Each meeting was filled with gratitude, communion, and hope for the future of the mission. These visits were not only formal encounters, but also living signs of unity within the Church and of shared collaboration in God’s work.

The Missionary Sisters of Faith community in Vietnam gives heartfelt thanks to the Lord for the many graces received during this blessed visitation. With humble trust, the sisters continue to pray that God will bless the Superior General in her service and all the SMF sisters in Vietnam, that every step of their mission may be carried out according to His holy will.
