Samoa

By carefully observing the signs of changing times, we realize what the Samoan people need on their journey of faith.
We, as a small branch of this great tree, seek to contribute to our local Church through our service. As an apostolate, we run two preschools: the Missionary Infant School (owned by SMF) and the Aigafesilafai preschool (parish-owned), places where the first steps in faith are taken from an early age.
The sisters teach catechism in the parishes in collaboration with the MF, accompanying young people on a journey of vocational and spiritual discernment. Adults of all ages in the parish are also involved in parish activities such as conferences, pilgrimages, and other formative moments.
For ten years, Sister Evelina Tuia has generously served at the Diocesan Curia of Samoa, working in various areas. This year, she also began teaching at the Pacific Regional Seminary in Fiji.
In short, our mission is one of re-evangelization: to help people rediscover, strengthen, and revive the faith they have received but, unfortunately, in many cases have lost. (Cons. Cap. 1, n. 2)
