Brazil
The Missionary Sisters of Faith arrived in Brazil in 2009. They were invited by Bishop Valerio Breda to the diocese of Penedo. The community was established in the same year in the parish of Our Lady of Do Ó, in the city of São Miguel dos Campos.
The first sisters to arrive were Sister Adelia, Sister Elza, and Sister Letizia. In the following years, Sister Patrizia, Sister Selma, Sister Dilia, and Sister Giusy also arrived.
The sisters are involved in parish activities: pastoral care for children at the diocesan level, catechesis for adults and children. They also participate in social activities. With the help of various benefactors, they founded the St. Francis Xavier Association, which offers sewing courses for women and various activities for young people and children.
Currently, the community consists of four sisters. We are committed and dedicated to our service, cultivating and strengthening the faith in our parish, according to our charism. The Lord gives us wisdom and courage so that we can continue to pass on the faith we have received as a precious gift.
We serve the Lord with faith and joy.
