October 1st is, for us, the Missionary Sisters of the Faith, a particularly cherished and significant day: with joy, we celebrate our Patronal Feast in honour of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face. It is a day of celebration, but above all, a day of grace, remembrance, and renewal of our vocation.

Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, through her simple life, deeply rooted in the love of God, teaches us that holiness is possible in everyday life: in the little things, in hidden gestures, and in daily fidelity. Her “Little Way” invites us not to seek greatness in extraordinary deeds, but to live everything with a heart full of love.

For us, the Missionary Sisters of the Faith, Saint Thérèse is a companion on our journey. Her example reminds us that our mission springs first and foremost from a faith that is lived, nurtured through prayer, and witnessed through charity.

On this day, we wish to thank the Lord for the gift of our Congregation, for every Sister who is a part of it, for those who came before us and sowed with sacrifice and love, and for all the people whom the Lord places along our path.

Our Patronal Feast is also an opportunity to renew our “yes” to God a “yes” that we desire to live with humility, openness, and trust, allowing ourselves to be guided by Divine Providence and seeking, like Saint Thérèse, to be wherever God calls us.

In the heart of the Church and in the heart of the world, we desire to continue to be Missionaries of the Faith, bringing hope to those who are discouraged, closeness to those who are alone, a listening ear to those who seek a word of comfort, and love to those who need to feel welcomed and accepted.

Saint Thérèse wrote: “My vocation is Love.” These words become for us an ever-new invitation: to make our lives a gift, so that each day, every service, and every encounter may become a small testimony to the love of God.

On this October 1st, we entrust to Saint Thérèse all our communities, our Sisters, our families, the young and the elderly, the people we encounter in our mission, and all those who entrust themselves to our prayers.

Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, our Patroness, pray for us.

Help us to walk with confidence along the Little Way of Love, to live an authentic faith, and to be, each day, instruments of God’s mercy and tenderness.

May the Lord, through the intercession of Saint Thérèse, bless our Congregation and grant us the grace to continue always walking in Faith, Hope, and Love.
