A Joyful Welcome and Homecoming Celebration for Our Smf Sisters
With deep gratitude and joy, we gather to celebrate the return of three cherished sisters to their homeland of Samoa after a meaningful period of formation and renewal in the Philippines.
Our two newly professed Etevise Lemalu and Therese Atonio religious sisters, return home having completed their initial formation in the Philippines, where they were nurtured in faith, community life, and spiritual discipline. Their time there was a sacred journey of discernment and preparation, leading them to freely and joyfully embrace their first religious profession. Strengthened by prayer, study, and lived experience of consecrated life, they now return as newly professed sisters ready to continue their mission with renewed zeal and devotion.
Alongside them, we also warmly welcome back our perpetually professed Sister Falanika Vitale, who participated in an aggiornamento course in the Philippines. This period of renewal and ongoing formation has offered her the opportunity to deepen her spiritual life, refresh her theological understanding, and reconnect with the evolving needs of religious life in today’s world. Her commitment remains steadfast, now enriched by new insights and renewed energy for her service.
Their return to Samoa in their hometown for a family visit is a moment of joy not only for their loved ones but also for the wider community. It is a time to celebrate the fruit of their journey, to give thanks for the formation and renewal they have received, and to recognize the grace of God working continuously in their vocations.
As they spend this precious time with family and community, we surround them with our prayers and heartfelt welcome. May their visit be filled with peace, joy, and thanksgiving, and may they continue to be living witnesses of faith, hope, and love wherever they are sent.
