Sixth Sunday of Easter 2026

The Sixth Sunday of Easter invites us to contemplate the profound bond between the promise of the Holy Spirit and the commandment of love entrusted to us by Christ. The Holy Spirit, gift of the Father and abiding presence within the Church, strengthens believers to bear authentic witness to the communion, fraternity, and hope that flow from the Gospel. Guided by the Spirit, the Church is continually called to overcome divisions and prejudices, so that the saving message of Christ may shine forth credibly through lives marked by gentleness, respect, humble service, and charity.

Through the mystery of His Passover, Christ has established the new and living Temple, embracing within Himself the whole community of the faithful. United to Him, believers are called to offer themselves to the Father, not only in the sacred liturgy, but also in the witness of daily Christian life. This Sunday reminds us that faith is not merely the observance of commandments, but a living and personal communion with the Risen Lord, made visible in fraternal love and in the joy that springs from the Gospel.
