THE MONTH OF FLOWERS – OFFERING MARY THE FLOWERS OF OUR HEARTS
May returns, the beloved Month of Flowers that the Church dedicates especially to honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary. In spiritual communion with the Church throughout the world, each of her children turns to her with love and trust.
Offering flowers to Mary is not only the presentation of bright blossoms before her altar, but also the silent flowers blooming within our hearts: hidden sacrifices, small efforts, quiet acts of kindness, and sincere expressions of love.
Each day of this Month of Flowers is an opportunity for us to live in a way pleasing to God and to follow the example of Mary:
– living with humility and simplicity
– loving with generosity and kindness
– being patient in trials
– persevering in prayer and trust
– keeping our hearts pure and peaceful
The flowers of this world will fade, but the flowers of the heart offered to Mary remain forever before God.
May each sister in our congregation, together with all our loved ones, transform daily life into a living garden of flowers, spreading everywhere the fragrance of the Gospel, joy, and peace.
May gentle Mother Mary receive these simple flowers of our hearts, and always walk with us on our journey of faith each day.
Mary, receive the flowers of our hearts.
