Week of prayer for Christian Unity
Once again this year, the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Faith joyfully joins in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a significant milestone in the journey of the Church that invites us to reflect, pray and bear witness together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. For us, this event is not something external or purely symbolic, but a living expression of our missionary charism: to bring the light of the Gospel where faith is fragile and to build communion in a world often marked by divisions.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity means rediscovering the value of ecclesial fraternity, which is a gift of the Spirit and the foundation of our mission in Italy and throughout the world. During these days, our communities will be involved in moments of prayer, reflection and exchange with Christians of different traditions, to celebrate together the richness of our shared faith and to promote paths of concrete unity in daily life. This gesture of communion is deeply intertwined with our commitment to service, spiritual accompaniment and evangelical witness in the existential peripheries, where we are called to bring hope, listening and closeness.
We entrust this time of prayer and encounter to the intercession of the Holy Spirit, that He may strengthen in us and in all Christians the desire to build bridges of peace, fraternity and authentic unity according to the heart of Christ.
