Our Charism
The Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Faith is founded on a profound missionary spirit, dedicated to spreading the Gospel to all and strengthening the faith of the baptized. The very name Missionary Sisters of Faith expresses the congregation’s charism and spirituality, while also indicating the purpose for which we are committed within the Church.
Our charism is centered on evangelization, with particular attention to reaching those who have not yet encountered Christ and supporting Christian communities on their journey of faith. Inspired by the words of Jesus, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15), we dedicate ourselves to bringing the message of salvation to every corner of the world.
The spirituality of the Missionary Sisters of Faith is characterized by Faith and Mission, the foundational traits of our congregation. It is rooted in the Most Holy Trinity and expressed through a life of total consecration to God, which “consists in living with an attitude of heroic faith, capable of detachment, renunciation, and a trusting, filial abandonment into God’s hands, in the serene and constant joy of each day” (Dir.1).
The Missionary Sisters of Faith embrace both contemplative life and active apostolic ministry, with the essential focus of following Christ, the apostle and high priest, sent by the Father to proclaim the Kingdom of God. Active contemplation requires not only vocal prayer, but also mental prayer and communion.
In community life, we embrace and live according to the model of the Trinity, assuming the attitudes of Mary, the Faithful Virgin, in a gradual and continuous journey toward unity through the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience, becoming a concrete witness of God’s love in the world.
Our missionary activity, in response to the urgency of evangelization, extends to education, social engagement, catechetical formation, ecumenism, and interreligious dialogue, promoting peace and unity among peoples.
With hearts open to the needs of the Church and the world, we, the Missionary Sisters of Faith, continue our journey, sustained by the Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier and Giver of Life, ready to witness the Gospel with joy and courageous faith.

The spirituality of the congregation consists in living as women consecrated to God, the contemplative-active dimension of our being, in an attitude of heroic faith, capable of detachment, renunciation, and trusting and filial abandonment into the hands of the Father, in the serene and constant joy of each day.
